BBC Breakfast guest caught swearing live on air but host says he can 'get away with it'

A BBC Breakfast guest accidentally let slip some bad language live on air during the latest episode of the morning show.

3 Dads Walking appeared on the programme to discuss their Pride of Britain award.

The trio have been recognised with the prestigious gong after raising awareness of the risk of suicide among young people.

Andy Airey, Mike Palmer and Tim Owen want suicide prevention to be made part of the school curriculum.

The fathers have already raised more than £1million in memory of their daughters Sophie, Beth and Emily.

During the interview, Andy turned the air blue as hosts Rachel Burden and Charlie Stayt discussed the government’s response to their petition.

He said: “I know the word I want to say, it begins with B and end and its B*******.”

Host Rachel pointed out at the end of the chat: “There aren’t many people by the way who can get away with that kind of language you used, but you can.”

It comes after Naga Munchetty was missing from the latest episode of BBC Breakfast.

Naga and Charlie are usually on presenting duty Thursday to Sunday but she wasn’t to be seen.

Charlie was joined by Rachel on the red sofa as they woke up the nation with the latest headlines.

It’s not the only shake-up viewers have witnessed this week.

Sally Nugent and Jon Kay normally present the morning show from inside the studio on Monday to Wednesday, but there was a major format shake-up once again.

Victoria Valentine replaced Sally on the show and presented solo in the studio on Tuesday, while Jon reported live outside 10 Downing Street.

Jon held his spot outside the London residence as the country prepares to welcome Rishi Sunak as the next Prime Minister.

Sally’s absence got the viewers talking as they took to social media to point out how great a job Victoria was doing, with many exclaiming that she should sit on the red sofa more often.One penned: “Vivacious Victoria doing a marvellous presenting job today I’m sure we all agree.”

“Victoria is my new favourite on #BBCBreakfast,” added a second.

Another exclaimed: “#BBCBreakfast Victoria Fritz is a natural of a presenter pure class lovely personality attractive should be on the sofa more often.”
