Jay came to help Lola on the floor

An older couple were happy to have some company and offered the pair their packed lunch before they moved to another room, but the husband had some words of wisdom for them.

He told Lola and Jay to hang onto each other and work through any problems they may have before the pair fell asleep together on a hospital bed.

Their worlds came crashing down as a doctor disturbed them to give some upsetting news.

He showed the results of her CT scan which showed a large tumour on her brain, and the medical professional told her it was highly likely to be cancerous.

Viewers couldn’t take it any longer and once again returned to Twitter to talk about the soap scene.

Some called it “heartbreaking,” others said it had “made them cry” while others were “in bits”.
