A third added: “Me and my wife love Nadia’s recipes, our Grandchildren insist we make her Space Cake when they come to visit. And they ‘help’ too, leading to much laughter in the kitchen 🙂 We cant wait to try your new recipes!”

Fans were later left irked by Nadiya’s description of the book as she claimed it was focused heavily on using the oven.

When asked what the inspiration was for her new cookbook, Nadiya told viewers that it was “about making the oven do the work” and “being able to put everything in the oven”.

But some viewers didn’t take too kindly to that given that the previous segment was focused on the rising cost on energy across the UK.

“Making the oven do the work… Just after the segment about rise in cost of energy…. #TheOneShow,” blasted one viewer.

Another griped: “Nadiya clearly hasn’t read the room, not many people are going to be using their ovens to bake a cake, heck lots of people won’t be able to afford putting their oven on at all! #theoneshow.”

While a third added: “Can we have some recipes that don’t involve the oven at all? #JustSayin #TheOneShow.”
