BBC's Naga Munchetty 'puts world to rights' as she takes 'top' co-star for cosy dinner

BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty enjoyed a night out with co-star pal as they “put the world to rights.”

On Wednesday (5 October), Katherine Downes shared some snaps with Naga where the pair were seen enjoying a fancy meal and sipping on some cocktails.

Katherine tweeted the snaps alongside the caption: “Sometimes you need a treat of a night out with a good friend. Delicious food, excellent cocktails and top drawer gossip with @TVNaga01 @HawksmoorMCR.”

Naga clearly loved the snaps and retweeted them alongside the caption: “Sometimes… I just need @KDownesSport to put the world to rights..”

Naga was wearing a stunning black polo neck jumper and slicked her hair back into a neat bun.

She was also wearing a pair of huge framed glasses.

Katherine wore a pink jumper and had her hair hanging loosly by her shoulders.

Katherine is a journalist on BBC and often works alongside Naga when she gives viewers the sports coverage.

Naga is very close with her co-stars and often takes to twitter to wish them well.

On Thursday (October 6), Naga bid an emotional farewell to a friend and co-star as he moved onto a future career.

Last month, Owain Wyn announced he was leaving the BBC by tweeting: “SOME NEWS. I’m joining BBC Radio 2!

“From January I’ll be presenting the new Early Breakfast Show live from gorgeous Cardiff, making it the first daily Radio 2 show to be broadcast from Wales.

“I can’t wait to get started.”

Among the many followers to congratulate Owain on his big career move was his BBC Breakfast colleague Naga.

In an emotional post, the former Strictly Come Dancing star, 47, shared her best wishes for her exiting co-star, writing in a reply: “CONGRATULATIONS!! X”

Owain was quick to reply to Naga’s well-wishes and responded: “Thank you, Naga!

“I am [very] sad that I won’t be able to share a little Sat morning innuendo induced raised eyebrow and pursed lip with you on Breakfast anymore but [very] excited for the new show!”

Naga was swiftly followed by other fans wanting to wish Owain well.

One fan wrote: “Fabulous news, Owain. Congratulations!!”

Another commented: “Amazing news, Owain…you were always destined for great things! Really pleased for you.”
