Big Brother fans go wild as iconic housemate appears on ITV game show with stunning mum

Lingo viewers were left stunned as former Big Brother star tried their luck as a contestant on the ITV quiz show.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted a familiar face when Big Brother 15 contestant Ashleigh Coyle appeared on the show, with fans rushing to Twitter to reveal the identity the Irish star.

“Wasn’t she in big brother?” said one viewer.

Many others quickly followed, with a second posting: “Ashleigh from #BigBrother now on #lingo blast from the past”

While another tweeted: “Are my eyes deceiving me or is that Ashleigh from BB Power Trip on Lingo??”

Replying to one tweet about Asheligh, another ITV viewer wrote: “Yes, I’m sat here going, I know her from somewhere!”

Hosted by Good Morning Britain star Adil Ray, Lingo sees a group of hopefuls take on word skills as they play to win big money.

While Derry girl Ashleigh and mum Mary didn’t reach the final of Lingo, Ashleigh, 26, made it all the way to the final of Big Brother nearly eight years ago.

She was beaten by her arch enemy in the house, Helen Wood.

It appears Ashleigh has kept her good looks as the former reality star looked stunning in a floral dress with black tights and long wavy blonde hair as she competed with her mum for a cash prize.

Although Ashleigh spoke to Adil about competing in beauty pageants, she didn’t mention anything about her Big Brother fame.

Other viewers and Adil couldn’t get over the fact that Mary was Ashleigh’s mum, with the host saying he thought she was her older sister.

Ashleigh, a former Miss Derry, has gone on to be a TV personality and runs her own beauty business, Sass by Ash.

She told the Belfast Telegraph about her time on the show: “I was 18 years old when I went into the Big Brother house.

“The overall experience was positive. I don’t regret going in. It opened up a lot of doors for me. I learned a lot from it, mostly being tolerant of people.”
