Coronation Street child star is unrecognisable 20 years after leaving Alice role

Coronation Street actress Annabelle Tarrant looks unrecognisable 20 years after exiting the ITV soap, as she has now ditched acting for a brand new career.

The now 25-year-old first joined the cobbles in 2000 when she was just three years old.

She played Alice Watts, the daughter of Curly and Raquel Watts.

Curly didn’t know about Alice until his estranged wife Raquel turned up with her on his doorstep on New Year’s Eve.

After Annabelle was cast in the role, her parents told Worcester News: “We are really proud.

“We were thrilled when we heard she was given the part.”

The former child star has now chosen a different career path, focusing on dancing and modelling.

She is now a professional dancer and singer and has had experience as a performer in various hotels and holiday parks.

She has previously wrote in her work bio: “I am a graduate of Addict Dance Academy where I studied a range of dance styles from Jazz and Contemporary to Commercial and Hip Hop.

“From there I completed the end of a season as a Dancer/Animator at the Blue Lagoon Resort in Kos, Greece.

“I then spent a season at Trabolgan holiday village as a Dancer, Entertainer and Character performer.

“While this year I have had the pleasure of being a Dancer/Singer/Animator at the Louis Paphos Breeze hotel in Cyprus for 6 months.”

Coronation Street is set for an explosive week, as tensions rise between Abi Webster and Imran Habeeb.

Monday’s episode saw Abi attempt to escape with her baby son Alfie, after she was recently devastated to lose custody of him to Imran and his new wife Toyah Battersby.

Abi has been plotting to flee the country to Costa Rica but was stopped after Imran found Alfie’s passport.

As the battle for Alfie intensifies, residents of the street will face severe consequences.

Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin Webster in the soap, has confirmed his co-star Charlie de Melo, who plays Imran, has quit the show after five years.

Speaking on This Morning the actor said: “There’s a quite intense week coming up, mainly for Abi and Imran Habeeb, which we found out is not that easy to say.

“Can you imagine saying that on a daily basis?

“I’m glad Charlie has left now and I don’t have to say Habeeb anymore.”
