Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell shared a touching gift she received from her on-set family to mark her last episode of the show.
The actress – best known as Emma Brooker – shared a picture of the tribute to her Instagram page as she excitedly reached the end of her Weatherfield journey.
The gift from her co-stars and colleagues serves as a beautiful memoir of the day she joined the cast.
Alexandra carefully wrapped the silver chain around her fingers, the specially engraved bar of the necklace marked with the date 20.4.18.
The 28-year-old soap star took a detailed photo of the gift as she posted it to her Instagram story.
She wrote: “First appearance on the cobbles. Cutest gift from the Corrie fam.”
Alexandra then added a love heart emoji to show she was feeling the emotion from her friends.
Earlier this week Alexandra, 28, posted a picture of her making a love heart gesture with her hands in front of a big Coronation Street sign.
She captioned the image: “And that’s a wrap on the best street there is! And of course, I ugly cried as soon as the scene completed.”
“So overwhelmed by all the love. The Corrie family are just insane. To every person in that building, every viewer, family member and friend, I love you all and can’t thank you enough!”
She contuned: “I’ve said it countless times before but I’ll say it again, it’s been the best time of my life. But for now it’s goodbye to the cobbles from me and Emma Brooker.”
Alexandra’s on-screen exit in April will come four years after her character Emma first made her appearance on the cobbles back in April 2018.
ITV bosses confirmed the news that she would be leaving the soap earlier this month.
After posting her emotional statement Alexandra was inundated with warm messages and heartfelt congratulations from her Corrie co-stars.
Samia Long-Chambon penned: “We will miss you loads Ali! You little…” followed by a star and a round of applause emoji.”
Harriet Bibby wrote: “Missing you already! Best of luck you ray of sunshine!”
Former Corrie actress Ruxandra Porojnicu added: “Welcome to the other sideeeeee!! Haha You’ll be Magnificent and I can’t wait to see you!”, followed by several love heart emojis.
