Coronation Street's Mary branded 'absolute filth' by fans as she makes cheeky confession

Coronation Street favourite Mary Taylor (Patty Clare) left viewers in stitches during the latest visit to Weatherfield.

She was on top form during Wednesday’s (November 23) episode of the ITV soap before heading to rehearsals for the upcoming show at the Weatherfield Community Centre.

She bumped into Ken Barlow (William Roache) in the street and told him she needed “something substantial” inside her because she’d been “tossing all night”.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Mary been tossing all night #corrie.”

Another added: “Tossing all night Mary.”

A third person posted: “Mary’s been doing what all night?”

While a fourth said: “Every line of Mary’s tonight is absolute filth.”

“Mary’s inuendo is next level tonight!” said someone else.

Mary and Ken later joined Nigel and Brian at rehearsals where Nigel confided in Ken that he’s going to approach an actress friend with a view to replacing Mary as leading lady.

Ken, Brian and Wendy Papadopoulos (Robert Kerr) tentatively suggested to Mary that she should tone down her performance but she wasn’t having any of it.

Ken and Brian advised Nigel to ask his actress friend to give Mary some coaching rather than replace her as she’d be terribly upset.

However, Coronation Street spoilers have revealed Ken may regret making the suggestion.

In upcoming scenes, Nigel introduces his actress friend to Brian, Ken and Mary. Ken’s surprised to realise it’s Martha Fraser (Stephanie Beacham), his ex.

How will Ken and Martha react when they come face to face?

Elsehwere in the episode, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) met up with Karis, the facilitator and head into the prison. In the prison visiting room, and Sam interrogated his mum’s killer Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).

Harvey revealed that he intended to murder Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and not Natasha.

When Harvey reveals that his mum died when he was 14 and Sam said it must have caused him to go off the rails.

Sam continued to ask Harvey some awkward questions about his mum and Harvey leaves the room.

In his prison cell, Harvey is left rattled by Sam’s visit. Picking up Sam’s most recent letter, Harvey begins reading his questions.
