Dancing On Ice's Bez says whip is his 'favourite prop' – but fiancée isn't keen

Happy Mondays star Bez has been given a whip for his all-action Indiana Jones routine on Dancing On Ice.

But he won’t be using it for any Fifty Shades fun with his fiancée, joking: “She doesn’t like pain!”

Bez is being transformed into the Harrison Ford character for the show’s Movie Week theme.

The dancer laughed: “They’ve given me a whip. That’s my favourite prop.

“Indiana Jones is known for his whip work so if I hadn’t got one I’d be sorely disappointed. I don’t think my missus wants me to bring it home, she doesn’t like pain, my missus!”

The couple are a firm favourite with the fans

Wobbly Bez claimed he was still struggling to stand up on the ice.

And he admitted he falls over so much he was worried about damaging his privates before he gets wed to Firouzeh Razavi.

He added: “I always try to protect my maracas, I’m going to need them on my wedding night.

“But with the wedding coming up it’s why I’ve got all my protection, I don’t want to break anything before our big day. I’m so accident prone I need to take all the precautions to protect myself.

“When I get on the ice I just go down like a sack of s***. I’ve had a lot of really bad falls.

Bez and his partner Angela Egan found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard

“I’ve got every kind of protection on, bum pads, knee pads, I’ve got things for my thighs, wrist guards, I’ve got a back guard as well to protect my bottom.

“Fingers crossed I come through it unscathed.”

It seems he isn’t the only one who needs protection, as Bez’s co-star Rachel Stevens has issued an announcement over her future in the skating competition as she struggles with her second injury of the series.

She had to miss the second live show of the series due to wrist injury and was disappointed at the idea of missing so much time on the ice.

Bez has enjoyed training for the series so far

She admitted she’s thankful to still be able to compete and is ready to get into training once she’s back to good health: “I’m so excited to get back on and me and Brendan have been doing everything we can off-ice.”

“Been working so hard so that we are fighting fit when we get back on the ice, which I can’t wait for,” she said.
