Dancing On Ice's Connor Ball showcases his best moves during New York getaway

Dancing On Ice star Connor Ball has given fans a sneak peek at his new found Ice Skating skills as he enjoyed a romantic festive break in New York.

The Vamps star spent Christmas with his girlfriend Lucee Moore in the US enjoying the wintry scenes in the American capital as they celebrated.

Connor, 25, didn’t let the opportunity to show off his skating prowess pass him by as the pair took to the iconic Central Park skating rink on Christmas Day.

The musician was seen performing a series of turns and skating backwards as he grinned at the camera in the video clip posted to his Instagram and TikTok pages.

Connor captioned the post: “Central Park skating on Christmas Day. Had to be done.”

His post that has attracted thousands of likes was soon flooded with messages from his dedicated fans.

One commented: “Mr DOI [Dancing On Ice].”

While a second added: “Flexing those Dancing On Ice Skills.”

“OMG you’re so talented man,” gushed another.

Before a third typed: “Even on holidays, you keep practicing!!!

The star has been training hard ahead of his appearance on Dancing On Ice later this month.

He has shared regular updates with fans on his social media page as he practises for the challenging reality TV role.

Speaking about his upcoming appearance on Dancing On Ice, he told Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp: “I’m excited obviously but I’m really nervous.

“I’m quite clumsy, accident-prone, ice is hard, it was pretty hard to keep the secret.

“The rest of the band know, they’re super excited for me.”

Meanwhile, Connor has undertaken a new music project away from his role as bassist with The Vamps.

His new band The Lunar Year, comprising of Connor and Sam Macek have already announced some tour dates along with a new single titled Back For More which is out now, teasing an EP too.

Alongside the music release, there is also tonnes of merchandise, with Connor showing it off on Twitter and stating that he “can’t wait to wear these every day forever”.

However, fans of The Vamps need not panic – Connor is still part of the band and is just taking time to explore some other avenues of work.

Dancing On Ice is set to return to ITV this month.
