Emmerdale, Corrie and EastEnders spoilers: affair exposed, hammer attack and cancer news

Emmerdale, EastEnders, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks continue to bring the drama next week.

With Christmas around the corner soap operas are starting to play out the start of their explosive festive storylines.

While some characters may not make it to the New Year, it looks like there is plenty of heartbreak in store in Soapland in upcoming scenes.

Daily Star has taken a sneak peek at the week ahead with miscarriage heartbreak in Albert Square, an affair set to be rumbled in Emmerdale, a hammer attack teased in Weatherfield and a revenge plot in Hollyoaks village.

Hope Stape takes drastic action as she overhears year 11 girls in calling a “nut job” and she takes a hammer out of her school bag. Will the youngster follow in her killer dad John Stape’s footsteps?

Also, Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) is left gobsmacked when he’s reunited with his ex Martha Frasier (Stephanie Beacham) but will romance sprak between them again?

Elsewhere, Nick Tilsley and Sam Blakeman visit Harvey Gaskell in prison where the killer concedes that he intended to murder Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and not Natasha Blakeman.

EastEnders

Lola Pearce (Daniella Harold) finally tells her young daughter Lexi Mitchell (Isabella Brown) about her cancer prognosis in heartbreaking scenes of the BBC soap.

Also, pregnant Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) heads out alone and has an accident, falling down the stairs at the tube station. Will her unborn baby be ok?

Meanwhile, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) is determined to help Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and worms her way in with Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) offering him a business opportunity.

Also, Liam (Jonny McPherson) and Leyla Cavanagh (Roxy Shahidi) decide that they’re no good for one another and remove their wedding rings.

Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) takes matters into her own hands next week following her horrific attack.

When she doesn’t receive the support from Zoe Anderson (Garcia Brown) and Verity Hutchinson (Eve O’Hara), Maxine carries out her plan to catch the Hollyoaks spiker alone and receives surprising results when all evidence points to one person.

There’s also shock in store for Eric Foster (Angus Castle-Doughty) as he discovers that his laptop is missing.

Elsewhere, Misbah Maalik receives surprising news of her son Imran Maalik’s (Ijaz Rana) admission to the clinic, things with Zain Rander (Jonas Khan) take a back seat.
