The not-so-quiet village of Emmerdale seems to be heating up once again, as some residents will find themselves in hot water next week.
Emmerdale spoilers can reveal that Marlon Dingle’s road to recovery isn’t smooth sailing after suffering a life-threatening stroke.
But things turn slightly sour when an eager Rhona Goskirk attempts to push her fiancé too far with his progress.
Elsewhere, Moira Barton appears to be very unsettled with Charity Dingle due to the way she treated her brother Mack, but in order to get her own back, Moira comes up with a terrifying plot.
Meanwhile, Laurel Thomas is still feeling emotional about Jai’s previous wrongdoings. But next week she seems to have a change of heart towards him.
Marlon’s heartache

Marlon and Rhona struggle emotionally during the aftermath of Marlon’s stroke and best mate Paddy Dingle is not coping well with Marlon’s predicament.
To try and cheer the pub chef up a little, the Dingles prepare a video to send to Marlon in hospital but worried he’s not being true to himself, Paddy buckles under the pressure and records an inadequate message.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Marlon’s meeting his speech therapist.

As he agonisingly struggles to form easy words, Rhona’s gutted to see how upset Marlon is at his slow progress.
In an attempt to gain a breakthrough, Rhona pushes a stubborn Marlon a little too hard. But seeing Rhona’s abrupt nature the nurse takes her aside and gently advises her to put less pressure on him.
Later on, recognising Rhona feeling low about the whole situation, Paddy promises to do better but fails to convince her.
Feeling guilty for pushing him too hard, once she’s back at the hospital Rhona apologises.
Marlon accepts Rhona’s apology but can’t bring himself to watch the video from his family and friends.
Rhona’s mum Mary also begins to worry that her daughter is putting too much pressure on herself regarding Marlon’s care.
Later on in the week, as the pub chef decides to ban visitiors he regrets his decision and is engulfed by a long silence in the hospital room.
Moira’s dark Charity revenge
Trying her best to get over Mack, Charity playfully pretends to flirt with the drayman but, unbeknownst to her, a fuming Moria watches her from a distance with disdain.
Charity is still feeling hurt about her situation with Mack and demands Moira to speak with him personally.
But Moira is angered by her request and blames her for Mack’s departure and refuses to give Charity a second chance, leaving her mortified.
Later on, Vanessa informs Paddy about the near kiss she almost exchanged with Charity and he lets slip to Moira about what took place.
Convinced that the pair did actually kiss, Moira is fuming at Charity once again.

As time passes, Moira suggests driving Charity to see Mack so the two of them can have a private conversation.
Clearly delighted by the offer, Charity quickly accepts, however she is completely oblivious to Moira’s vengeful scheme.
As the pair make their way to see Mack, Moira’s motives turn wicked and she abandons Charity in the middle of nowhere without her purse or phone, on the side of a road.
But will Moira see the error of her ways?
Surprise reunion
Laurel informs Bob Hope of her situation with Jai and why she decided to turn her back on him.
Surprisingly, Bob reveals to her that Brenda also forgave him when he landed himself in a similar situation, giving Laurel food for thought.
Later on, as Laurel meets Jai in the café to painfully return the rest of his belongings to him, she’s in two minds and she begins to worry that she may have made a mistake.
Not long after a confused and emotional Laurel gives in to her feelings and kisses Jai but will she live to regret her actions or will the couple finally reunite?
