Emmerdale Vinny's new addiction leaves ITV viewers concerned as he takes dark turn

Emmerdale fans have been crying out for Vinny to stop gambling after recent episodes saw his sudden addiction get out of control.

Vinny’s storyline has followed him as he spirals and becomes more and more involved in the gambling community in the village.

However, things have slowly gotten out of control – to the point where viewers are turning to social media to urge the character to stop.

Many fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the matter and some predicted that he will become a full blown addict.

One wrote: “Vinny gambling all Liv’s money.” with a sad emoji.

Vinny’s gambling has gotten out of hand

Another typed: “Vinny, don’t do this. You’re not thinking straight.”

A third added: “Vinny is sinking deeper and deeper into gambling. It won’t be long before he becomes an addict and it’s all Jimmy and Mack’s fault.”

More fans flocked to asked “what the f***” he was doing, while one simply told Vinny to “behave himself”.

Elsewhere in the soap, Cathy Hope is set to “step up” in upcoming Emmerdale storylines.

Darren fumed when Vinny beat him

Emmerdale producer Jane Hudson has teased a major plot which has “never been seen before” in the soap.

Speaking to Daily Star, Hudson revealed: “A lot of our younger cast have got stories coming up. You get to a point with the young cast when you suddenly realise they’re growing up.”

“They’ve been off-screen for a few weeks and they appear and they’re a foot taller and their voice is deeper and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, we need to start growing them up in the show’.

Fans have been urging him to be careful

She continued: “”For Rosie [Bentham], who plays Gabby, we kept her at 15 for about three years. She eventually went, ‘You do know my character is 18?’ And I thought, oh my gosh yeah we need to grow you up.”

Jane then teased that Cathy’s storyline will be “big and very emotional”.

“It’s her first big story really and it’s a challenging one, and I think it’s one a lot of parents will connect with. It’s one I haven’t seen a soap do before. So Cathy’s got a big storyline coming up.”
