Emmerdale star Paige Sandhu was so stunned by a giant twist for her character Meena Jutla that she dropped her script.
The actress plays soap serial killer Meena Jutla on the hit ITV soap, who has finally been forced to stand trial for her horrific crimes.
Murderous Meena has been facing muder charges in court in one of the biggest soap trials in history – in a special one-hour episode that airs on Thursday (April 14).
The verdict, and Meena’s fate, will be heard in tonight’s episode – and it’s sure to deliver a huge dose of drama for viewers.
She has already been trying to wreck the lives of Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) and Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) on the stand whilst manipulating the jury with her lies.

Now, Paige has spoken out about her character’s downfall – and it turns out it involves a jaw-dropping secret twist that left her so shocked that she dropped her script.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, Paige said: “As we know, this is Meena’s finale and I’d always imagined that it would go a certain way, but it’s so much better than that. Just so dramatic.
Teasing the twist in Thursday’s episode, she continued: “There’s one thing that’s going to come out tonight and I actually dropped my script because I was like [gasps] ‘I can’t believe it!’.

“It’s this big, big secret that I think the audience will love and it will be really exciting. It just adds another dimension to Meena and Meena’s relationship to her sister and to the whole storyline.”
The trial will mark the end of Meena for now, whether she is jailed or exits the village.
Paige told Metro: “I always thought that Meena’s storyline was going to have to come to an end at some point, because you just can’t let a villain as bad as Meena just carry on.

“There would be no-one left in the village, so her storyline has to come to an end at some point.
“When I thought about how the writers were going to do that, I thought she has to die because it’s the most epic thing. I just imagined that was what they were going to do.
“But when I found out the storyline that they’ve written, I was like “Ooh this is actually way better than I could have imagined.”
