Game of Thrones' Stark family now – public breakdown, domestic rows and Corrie link

Game Of Thrones star Maisie Williams has turned 25 and to celebrate her big day we’re taking a look at where she is now, along with the rest of the Stark family…

The Stark family consisted of husband and wife Ned and Catherine, along with their five shared children Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran and Rickon. Along with Jon Snow, who was Ned’s son out of wedlock.

From being part of a famous Hollywood couple to being arrested for harassment. The real-life Stark family have gone on to lead very varied lives…

But where are they all now? Let’s take a look…

Sophie Turner

Sophie, 26, who played Sansa has gone on to land numerous film and TV credits.

However, most notably married a Jonas Brother and is now part of Hollywood’s biggest couples.

Sophie started dating American singer Joe in 2016 and they got engaged in October 2017, marrying in Las Vegas in May 2019.

In July 2020, Turner gave birth to a daughter called Willa.

She has also kept up her GOT friendship with her co-star sibling Maisie Williams, who forever bonded after meeting at the series’ initial auditions.

Maisie Williams

Maisie doesn’t want to be anymore famous

Maisie, 24, played Arya in the series and left school early when filming due to her mum’s decision to help her focus on her acting.

This meant that she has a total of zero GCSEs to her name, and although the star did go back to try and earn her credits, she was cruelly bullied by her peers and jacked it in.

According to In Style, Williams was subjected to “brutal online bullying” from classmates, which forced her to quit school for a second time and hire private tutors instead.

She told The Guardian in 2018: “Leaving school, and then going back and having this awful experience, made me really bitter about life and people. People let you down and they hurt you.”

The star has gone on to land a number of TV and film credits but has said that she doesn’t want to “get any more famous”.

Sean Bean

Shortly after the GOT series was released in 2011, Sean Bean, who plays Ned was arrested.

In 2012, Sean, now 62, was arrested after allegedly sending his actress wife Georgina Sutcliffe, 34, abusive texts and calls.

Sean has had a slightly chaotic love life, including four divorces, which is just as dramatic as his on-screen roles.

One of his most infamous splits was from Coronation Street actress Melanie Hill, who played Cathy Matthews on the soap since 2015.

She is also famous for her role in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Bread and Hollywood film Stardust.

In 2020, it was also reported that he threw a glass at his wife during a boozy bust-up at 30,000ft in the air.

The star’s fifth wife, Ashley Moore, also reportedly poured a full glass of wine into his lap during their nine-hour bender on a flight to London’s Heathrow Airport from Vancouver, Canada.

However, he has since denied these claims.

Richard Madden

Richard starred in The Bodyguard

Richard, who played Robb, has been in some big titles such as Rocketman, Eternals and Bodyguard.

Fans have also been intrigued by what goes on in his personal – which the Scottish star always hopes to keep private.

During GOT filming in 2015, he was dating former Coronation Street star Jenna Coleman but things seemed to fizzle out with him moving on with Love Island host Laura Whitmore.

However, this didn’t last long either and it was speculated he was seeing English actress Eleanor Elizabeth Bamber after being spotted kissing in Ibiza.

It was also rumoured Richard, 35, and his “Eternals” co-star Gemma Chan are in a relationship, however, the pair have known each other for more than 10 years and are said to just be “very good friends”.

Isaac Hempstead Wright

Isaac played Bran in the GOT series and went on to study at the University of Birmingham at the start of 2017.

However, according to reports, that star dropped out early in order to focus on his acting career.

In 2019, the 22-year-old returned to university to study neuroscience at University College London, while continuing to act on the side.

In April the same year, it was announced that Isaac was linked to sci-fi film Voyagers as part of an ensemble cast that included Colin Farrell and Tye Sheridan.

The film was released in April 2021 and Isaac played Edward in the title.

Michelle Fairley

Michelle was already a renowned actress before joining the GOT as Catherine.

In her personal life, the Irish star always tries to keep a low public profile.

Talking to The Telegraph in 2015, she revealed she made the decision to separate from her boyfriend of seven years in 2012. Since then, Michelle has had no known partners.

In the same interview, Michelle, 58, said she had “missed the gene” for motherhood and has never had the desire to have children like some of her siblings did.

In 2020, she played Marian Wallace in the gangster drama Gangs of London.

Kit Harington

The actor took a break from the industry for a while after GOT

Kit has had a rough time since leaving the show and has explained that he also struggled while still filming.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kit said that the end of “Game of Thrones” is what led him to check into a rehab centre in May 2019.

At the time, the actor’s publicist confirmed that he was seeking professional treatment “to work on some personal issues.”

Talking to SiriusXM host Jess Cagle, he said: “I went through some mental health difficulties after ‘Thrones,’ and during the end of ‘Thrones,’ to be honest.

“I think it was directly due to the nature of the show and what I had been doing for years.”

In 2018, Kit, 35, married his co-star GOT flame Rose Leslie, also 35, who played Wildling Ygritte.

After GOT, Kit decided to take an acting break so that he could “really concentrate” himself.

As the pandemic hit, he wanted to come back to work and filmed an episode of “Modern Love” just because it presented a “fun opportunity” for the star.

Art Parkinson

Art played youngest Stark sibling Rickon was raised in Moville, a coastal town in the north of County Donegal, Ireland.

The Irish actor, 20, also starred in the Hollywood movie San Andreas in 2015, as Ollie, a ten-year-old boy caught up in a massive earthquake in California.

Art’s family are also into acting, with his mother, Movania, also an actor who runs a local drama school which he and his two older brothers, Pearce and Padhraig, attended from a very young age.

His two older brothers have also acted in several Irish and British television productions.
