Glee's Lea Michele showed co-star her vagina to 'satisfy his curiosity as gay man'

Glee star Lea Michele has revealed she once showed her gay co-star and pal Jonathan Groff her vagina to “satisfy his curiosity about female anatomy”.

As well as appearing in Glee, the pair starred in steamy musical Spring Awakening 15 years ago.

And Lea has revealed in a new HBO documentary about the show that she once let “Groff see her vagina, using a desk lamp” to give him an “illustrative lesson”.

She told how she decided to flash her privates to enlighten her pal about female genitalia, because as a gay man he had “no practical knowledge of its particulars”.

“Jonathan and I became so close. We were so intertwined,” Michele, 35, says in the forthcoming HBO documentary – Spring Awakening: Those You’ve Known – according to Entertainment Weekly.

“At one point, I literally showed him my whole vagina,” she explained.

Groff, 37, then added, “I can confirm that.”

Michele continued: “He was like, ‘I’ve never seen a woman’s vagina before. Would you show me?’ And I was like, ‘Sure.’ And I took a desk lamp … and showed him. That’s how close we are.”

Entertainment weekly later probed them more on Michelle’s big reveal, but Groff burst out laughing and avoided the question, saying “there’s a lot more than that story, for sure”.

Michele also praised the documentary makers for creating a safe space to discuss the deeply personal moments of working together.

She said: “Radical Media and the incredible production team behind this documentary, we felt so safe and comfortable with them.

“It was so wonderful to talk about this material as an adult and get asked real serious questions. Not like, ‘What’s it like to have sex with Jonathan Groff every night?'”

“So I just felt really comfortable with them. With that level of comfortability came a story of just what goes on behind closed doors between me and Jonathan Groff. That’s only one of them. There’s a lot of other things.”
