GMB Christmas special 'rumbled' as Corrie star gives away clue ITV show isn't filmed live

Good Morning Britain’s Christmas special has been accidentally exposed by a Coronation Star.

On Christmas Day, hosts Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway welcomed Corrie stars onto the show to speak about their storylines.

Tyrone star Alan Halsall and his moody grandmother Dame Maureen Lipman starred on the show when it was hinted at that the show was pre-recorded.

As the presenters chatted to the stars about their plans, Maureen revealed the Corrie cast had already eaten their soap Christmas Dinner today – with the interview slot being shown at 7am on the 25th.

Maureen said: “I love being part of a community of actors, we’ve all had our Christmas dinners today, haven’t we?”

However, the hosts ignored this comment and moved on to the next topic.

This spurred on a viewer to take to Twitter to share their thoughts on the show, with one writing: “This isn’t live..is it? #gmb”

A second added: “If you think this is live..look up the meaning of the word delusional #gmb.”

Fans also notice that Britain’s got Talent star Ella Shaw also gave away a big hunch that the show wasn’t live.

One viewer wrote: “For those of you thinking it was live, Ella’s just outed them lol #GMB”

While a third penned: “Can’t wait for phil and holly to pretend they are live later on #thismorning that should be fun #gmb.”

However, another didn’t quite realise and directed a tweet at host Susanna, which read: “You know Susanna’s getting double pay so thought she’d make the effort and turn up. #GMB”

While another tweeted: “Aw typical of my susanna to give up her christmas morning to entertain the fans #gmb”

Another chimed in to say: “Wow @susannareid100 looks amazing on the Christmas ep of #gmb”

One happy viewer posted: “Very Merry Christmas to you all!
