Harry and Meghan's flirty Instagram messages before their first meeting revealed

Prince Harry’s flirty messages to Meghan Markle have been revealed in the couple’s new Netflix docu-series.

Harry & Meghan dropped on the streaming service on Thursday (December 8) and explores the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s life following their decision to step back from Royal duties.

During the first episode of the six-part series, the pair revealed how they first met.

Harry, 38, explained how he cane across picture of Meghan, 41, on a friend’s Instagram, where she could be seen in a clip with the dog ear filter.

Harry said: “That was the first thing, I was like, ‘Who is that?’.”

He later revealed: “Meghan and I met over Instagram.

“I was scrolling through my feed and someone who was a friend had a video of the two of them, it was like Snapchat.”

Meghan explained how she was happily single and was intending on having a “hot girl summer”, until a “plot twist” came in the form of “H”.

“I was really intent on being single and having fun girl time,” admitted mum-of-two Meghan.

“I had a career, I had my life. I had a path. And then came H [Harry]. Talk about plot twist.”

The couple even shared some of the first messages they exchanged before finally meeting up face to face.

Harry writes: “So come on – what u doing tomorrow night? Hope you’re having fun over there!”

Meghan replies: “Heading back to Soho. I have a dinner tomorrow at 8 but can do drinks tomorrow night. Would that work? Maybe 6?”

An enthralled Harry sends back: “You’re ON!”

Later in the episode, , Meghan revealed that Harry was half an hour late for their first date, leaving her unimpressed and assuming he had an “ego”.

She said: “He kept texting ‘I’m in traffic, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry'”, as Harry chimed in that he was “panicking, freaking out and sweating”.

The former Suts actress explained: “Then, I didn’t know him, so I was like ‘Oh is this what he does? Got it. Like this I’m not doing. I’m not going to sit and wait.”

As Harry asked her, giggling: “What is that supposed to mean?”, as Meghan said: “Like, one of those guys who has that much of an ego that any girl would sit around and wait a half hour for you.

“I was just not interested in that.”

Harry then described how he walked in to the room 30 minutes late “a hot, sweaty, red ball of a mess”, as a giggling Meghan could be heard saying: “You were so sweet.”

His clear discomfort obviously changed Meghan’s initial thoughts about his ego, as she said: “You were genuinely so embarrassed you were late.”
