Iconic singers who became ghosts after death – eerie presence to spooky moving objects

Don’t Be Ghoul… but the ghost of Elvis Presley might still be in the building!

This week, new biopic Elvis hits cinemas with Austin Butler as the singer and Tom Hanks as his manager Colonel Tom Parker.

Since his passing in 1977 aged 42, conspiracy theories have swirled that the King faked his death and has been living in secret.

Earlier this year, Elvis’s ex-wife Priscilla claimed his ghost is still living at his Graceland home.

She said she feels his “presence” when she visits.

Priscilla also sensed an eerie silence at the star’s pad in Memphis, Tennessee, adding: “I still think he’s here. I go in Graceland, I feel his spirit. It’s honest God’s truth.

“I know he’s living there. He’s there, trust me! It’s very reverent when you walk in. You just become silent.”

Elvis’s cousin Billy Smith also got a Jailhouse Shock at Graceland, where he lived after the King died.

He claimed: “It got to a point where I’d go to sleep, it’d be early in the morning and I would hear him calling me.”

Others have spied Elvis’s ghost peering from behind curtains and lurking in the kitchen.

Actress Paz de la Huerta even claims Elvis’s spook got saucy with her when she visited his recording studio at the estate, saying: “I felt him touch me, I felt his spirit go through me and give me pleasure. It was like Elvis was tickling me with a feather.”

His presence has been felt in Room 1016 of the Knickerbocker Hotel in Hollywood, where he used to stay when making films, while staff say his ghost still haunts the RCA Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, where he recorded many hits.

They point to lights flickering and objects moving when his name is mentioned.

He had a song and a film called Viva Las Vegas so it’s no surprise his spirit has visited Sin City – he has been spotted cruising the strip in a phantom convertible and is regularly glimpsed at the Las Vegas Hilton, where he performed his last concert, with singer Wayne Newton once spotting his ghost on a balcony while performing.
