I'm A Celebrity's Matt Hancock to lose camp leadership as ITV castmates revolt

He has been suspended by the Conservative party… and now Matt Hancock will also lose his title as leader of the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! camp.

We can reveal there’s going to be an election in the camp to vote for a new camp leader.

A show source said: “Campmates will vote for a new camp leader. Then whoever is voted the new camp leader picks a deputy. In theory Matt could retain the title of leader but it seems about as likely as him still being an MP after the next general election. They will want a change in camp.”

This change will happen on tomorrow’s show (Friday, November 18).

Matt’s position as camp leader with Charlene as deputy has led to some conflict in camp, primarily because Charlene would not share the beds in the RV with him leading to a shortage of beds.

When he was made camp leader, Boy George also threatened a “revolution” if Matt was too bossy.

It comes after a supposed ‘leak’ which revealed that the first eviction of the series will also come tomorrow in a blow to the celebs.

Twitter account Politicalite said: “Brits will get to EVICT campmate from I’m A Celeb on FRIDAY night.

“Telly bosses told Politicalite that they are planning to air an extended 90-minute show on Friday which could feature an eviction.”

Further details quickly followed, as sources close to the show allegedly hinted that suspended MP Matt Hancock could be first out.

The tweet read: “IAC sources added that they think Tory MP Matt Hancock be the first to leave I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after the public voted for him to take part in his sixth Bushtucker trial on Sunday.”

Matt has had a wild ride on the show so far, being voted in for trial after trial – but also winning a trip to a beach BBQ along with Sue Cleaver and Jill Scott.

Matt was voted in as camp leader by the public, and got to sleep in a real bed in the RV along with delegating tasks to his campmates.

But it seems his reign is almost over.
