I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly took a savage swipe at this showbiz pal Stephen Mulhern after NTAs fallout.

During Tuesday night’s visit to the Australian campsite, the celebrity contestants were tasked with hunting down the correct key hidden somewhere in the camp.

In the middle of the afternoon, the campers were given a mysteriously large box which was locked shut with a scavenger hunt stuck to the top.

The contestants helplessly ran around camp looking for the correct key to unlock the contained the key to the recreational vehicle which was fitted with two comfortable twin beds to sleep in.

Finally, Owen Warner and Jill Scott secured their spot in the relaxing RV as viewers watched a hugely disappointed Boy George sulk back to his hammock after missing out on the luxury lodgings.

In true Ant and Dec fashion, the dynamic duo couldn’t help but poke fun at the celebrities battle it out for a chance to win a night in the RV.

Ant said: “I loved the game. I loved watching unlock the padlocks – I reckon there’s a game show in it. Get the keys to the RV!”

Dec cheekily hit back with: “I don’t think there’s enough for a whole game show though, I mean who would you get to host a game show where you’re just watching people unlocking padlocks for half an hour.”

It was at this point the Geordie duo poked fun at their friend and fellow ITV presenter across the pond.

Ant chuckled: “Two words: Stephen Mulhern” as Dec agreed: “Yes, he needs another show – hi Stevie!”

It comes after the magician picked up the pair’s 21st NTA award after they contracted coronavirus just days before the awards ceremony.

Last month the TV star appeared on The One Show where Alex Jones quizzed him on whether or not he had given the boys their awards yet.

He cheekily replied: “Absolutely not, and I’m going to keep it for a bit of time on my shelf. They’ve got enough to be frank!”
