Inside Corrie star Kimberly Hart-Simpson's life – glam snaps, charity shop job and co-star split

Coronation Street actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson will return to the cobbles as Nicky Wheatley tonight (March 9).

The actress loves to keep her followers updated on her life and regularly posts selfies and outfit pictures in bright, bold colours.

She has a unique style and loves to play around with colours and patterns.

Kimberly plays sex worker Nicky in the ITV soap and has recently opened up about her big comeback.

She created a mood board and said: “Two and a half hours later my agent called me and said Corrie had put the feelers out. It made me feel so powerful.”

Whether assisted by divine intervention or not, fans will be excited to see Kimberly’s face back on the cobbled streets as she was a definite favourite.

Outside of her TV work, the star has founded her own eclectic fashion company called Hart-Work.

She hand makes all the items that she sells, which the website describes as: “Resuscitating clothing that was destined for landfill. We don’t discriminate. Working with both pre-loved and vintage materials.”

Kimberly also made an appearance on Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion where she met ex-boyfriend Shane Finlayson.

The couple were dating for six months after they locked eyes on the dating show, but Kimberly admitted that the long distance and Covid-19 restrictions meant that it was hard to maintain the relationship.

She took to Instagram to inform her 133,000 followers of the sad news: “We are proud of our journey and respect each other immensely.

“The show has been the best experience. Our journey after that, even better, but with the distance between us, work commitments and restrictions can naturally take its toll.”

Kimberly ended by thanking her fans for “the love” and that it has “not been wasted”.

It appears that Kimberly’s big heart extends further as she has volunteered to help out in a charity shop after her sister was diagnosed with a chronic heart condition.

Wanting to give back, the actress decided to work for the British Heart Foundation and loved it so much she described it as a “home away from home”.

She sang her praises about the job to The Mirror: “’I often tend to stick downstairs in the stockroom where I can rummage through the donations and steam them to prepare them for sale, but I have worked on the shop floor as well and it’s lovely chatting to customers coming in. You meet the best people.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 8pm
