Jack Whitehall 'banned' from seeing Prince Harry after 'ginger nuts' name-calling

Comedian Jack Whitehall has said that he was banned from seeing Prince Harry after he made a quip about his hair.

He shared his speculation at The London Palladium during his tour, How To Survive The Summer Holidays.

The 33-year-old made a joke during the Royal Variety Show in 2015 and called him “Ginger Nuts”, which apparently didn’t go down well.

He spoke on the tour alongside his mother Hilary and father Michael who mocked Harry himself: “Jack, I read a book recently and it changed my life. I put this book down and I thought I must become a writer myself. This book is called The Bench and it’s written by Meghan Markle.”

Meghan’s book was released in June 2021 and she said it “began as a love letter to my husband”.

Michael “presumed” that she “wrote it for Harry” and began to mimic the ex-Suits actress in a patronising voice.

He mocked: “’Yes darling, just read it OK. There are only three lines per page, Harry… Harry, it’s all right.’”

Before turning to Jack and saying: “That is your friend Harry. Except you are not allowed to see him anymore. You have been banned, been ostracised from the Sussexes.”

Jack then mentioned that he thought it was actually because of his Royal Variety Show insult.

Whitehall has also offended Harry’s brother William after another comment at the same Royal Variety performance.

Jack noted that he had attended the same college as William’s wife Kate and called her his “first ever crush”.

The comedian was originally friends with Harry due to mutual pals, but he was not invited to Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018.

However, Whitehall was invited to Princess Eugenie’s wedding at St George’s Chapel just months later.

The comedian has a plethora of famous friends, including Batman and Twilight star Robert Pattinson.

The pair attended Tower House School in London, where he met the actor.

He has previously said that Pattinson bagged all the best roles in the school plays.

Jack also auditioned for the role of Harry Potter in the magical franchise but was reportedly rejected because the casting director found out that he had not read the book.
