Jane Fonda, 84, offers health update as she confirms she's ending cancer treatment

Hollywood legend Jane Fonda gave fans an update about her cancer, which has now thankfully gone into remission.

The Grace and Frankie actress gave her two million Instagram followers the good news in a heartfelt post ahead of her birthday on December 21st.

She described the news as the “best birthday present ever” as she detailed the latest news of her health.

“LATEST BLOG POST: BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!!”, Jane started before writing: “Last week I was told by my oncologist that my cancer is in remission and I can discontinue chemo. I am feeling so blessed, so fortunate.”

She added: “I thank all of you who prayed and sent good thoughts my way. I am confident that it played a role in the good news.”

“I’m especially happy because while my first 4 chemo treatments were rather easy for me, only a few days of being tired, the last chemo session was rough and lasted 2 weeks making it hard to accomplish much of anything”, Jane continued.

She then concluded the message with: “The effects wore off just as I went to D.C. for the first live, in-person Fire Drill Fridays rally. Thanks for doing that and thanks for sending good wishes my way. I wish everyone a joyful, healthy Holiday.”

Jane originally took to social media to let fans know about her shocking cancer diagnosis back in September, so happy were thrilled to hear that she’d had a speedy recovery.

One fan wrote: “MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: I am thrilled beyond words to hear this. Happy Birthday and Happy Rest Of Your Life…”

While a second penned: “You are amazing Jane! So happy for your good news. You are a great human!”

“Consider it as a blessing for helping in saving Mother Earth and Humanity” a third added while a fourth commented saying: “Sending you much love, strength, great health now and always… Up and at em… Love you Jane.”
