Joey Essex has revealed he was previously dropped from Dancing on Ice for “being a little s***”.
The former TOWIE star, 32, is one of 11 celebrities who have been confirmed to compete in the forthcoming series of the ITV skating show.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday evening (October 24), Joey revealed his ice-skating training is going “amazing”.

He also confirmed he had previously auditioned for the series but failed to advance past the interview stage due to his mischievous behaviour.

Joey told Daily Star: “Karen [Barber] is like dancing with an angel honestly.
“When I first did my interview for Dancing on Ice – actually it was the second time because the first time I didn’t get through because I was being a little s*** – and now it’s the right time and I’m just floating around like an angel with Karen.
“It’s amazing.”

His Dancing on Ice audition fail confession came hours before Joey raised eyebrows by enjoying a steamy backstage smooch with former Dancing on Ice star Maura Higgins.
The pair surprised onlookers as they were spied snuggling up and kissing in the Red Bar at London’s Grosvenor House.
Irish beauty Maura, 31, looked stunning in a yellow tulle evening gown as she cuddled up to Joey.
She wore her signature brown tresses in a curled styled which was pinned to the back of her head.

Joey and Maura later departed the event together in a taxi.
Their surprising hook-up comes just weeks after Maura was pictured leaving another big TV event with a fellow Love Island star.
Earlier this month, Maura was seen departing the National Television Awards with Jesy Nelson’s ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes.
Chris starred in the third series of the ITV2 dating show, while Maura entered as a bombshell in series five.
