Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's wild row over marriage-ending poo

The bitter court case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has been rattling on for days now, as the former husband and wife seek to come out of the messy split on top.

Depp filed the lawsuit in March of 2019, claiming Heard had defamed him after she wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post that implied the Pirates Of The Caribbean star had abused her, and described herself as the victim of domestic violence.

Depp has instead argued that he was the victim, and that Heard both physically and verbally abused him.

Depp claimed he and Heard had a dinner party for her 30th birthday back in 2016.

But the celebrations allegedly went down the wrong track, with Depp claiming a turd was later found in their bed after a bust-up in their shared penthouse in LA.

The night ended with the two having an argument. According to Depp, he had been reading his book while Heard was throwing “multiple shots” at his face.

Depp said: “I got up out of bed and I grabbed her by the shoulders and I sat her down on the bed,

“I said, ‘I’m leaving. Please don’t get off the bed, please don’t follow me, please don’t try to stop me. I’m leaving.’ She got up off the bed and she squared off at me in the doorway of our bedroom. I said, ‘What do you want to do? Hit me again? Would you like to hit me again? Go ahead, hit me.'”

He then motioned being hit in the face.

He said he moved Heard out of the way and left.

Heard is yet to give her testimony.

Depp has alleged that the poo was found in their bed after the argument and that it was Amber Heard’s fault.

Heard, meanwhile, says that the deposit was filed by her pooches.

Depp has questioned whether this is possible, saying that turds the size of the ones found on the bed couldn’t be produced by dogs only weighing around four pounds (around 1.8kg).

Depp has laid the blame for the dropping at Heard’s door, saying it happened in the same argument as when he told the Aquaman star he was leaving.

Describing his reaction to seeing a photograph of the poo, Depp said: “My initial response to that was, I laughed.

“It was so outside, it was so bizarre and so grotesque that I could only laugh.”

Heard has strenuously denied the allegations and has counter-sued Depp, claiming he often launched into booze-fuelled tirades and named at least 10 instances where he was abusive to her.

Speaking in the court, Depp described how he found out about the poo left in the bed.

Depp had been staying at another of his houses following an argument in which he had left.

He had planned to return to the flat to collect some of his belongings while Heard was away at the Coachella music festival, but was warned by his bodyguard that it was a bad idea.

“I had received some news that was as absurd and grotesque and cruel, and then I was shown a picture of what the problem was.

“I had gone to Mr [Sean] Bett and said, ‘She’s at Coachella. I think it’s a good time to go downtown so that I can get some of my things and get them out of there.’

“He said, ‘I don’t think now is a good time to go.’ I thought, ‘It’s the perfect time, she’s not going to be home for two days.’ Then, he showed me a photograph on his telephone.

“It was a photograph of our bed,” Depp claimed.

“On my side of the bed was human faecal matter. So, I understood why it wasn’t a good time to go down there. My initial response was, I mean, I laughed. It was so outside, it was so bizarre and so grotesque that I could only laugh. So, I did not go down there that day.”

The trial continues.
