Katie Price's wedding plans 'on hold' as she faces jail for restraining order breach

Former glamour model Katie Price has reportedly put her wedding plans with Carl Woods on hold after being warned she faces jail.

The 43-year-old has been sharing wedding inspiration for months and revealed in January on Good Morning Britain that she has to get married soon in order for her terminally ill mum to attend.

Although a source claims that everything is now “up in the air” after Katie admitted to breaching a restraining order this week.

Katie pleaded guilty to the breach against her ex-husband Kieran Hayler’s fiancée Michelle Penticost and could face a maximum sentence of five years.

The reality star was initially arrested on January 21 over allegations she sent an abusive text message to Michelle, calling her a “c***ing w***e piece of s**t” and a “gutter slag”.

Despite initially denying the charge at Magistrates’ Court, Katie pleaded guilty at Lewes Crown Court on May 25.

Judge Stephen Mooney told Price: “Clearly you have accepted responsibility for an offence and pleaded guilty while you were on a suspended sentence which means you are at risk of going to prison.”

“I will need to know the relevant parts of the background to consider what the appropriate sentence should be.”

“Don’t be under any illusions, you run the risk of receiving an immediate custodial sentence.”

This has meant the wedding plans have now come to a halt with a source telling The Sun that Katie is “desperate” to marry Carl.

They said: “She is desperate to marry Carl but everything is on hold until after the sentencing court date.”

Currently, Katie is on a 16-week suspended sentence for drink driving after she crashed her BMW last year under the influence.

A person can be recalled to prison for the length of their suspended sentence if they were to breach the terms of their licence.

Usually, a court will focus on the new crime that has been committed when sentencing and take the original term into consideration as an aggravating feature.

Regarding Katie, she could be put in jail for five years with the 16 weeks running concurrently or potentially on top of the main sentence.

She was first given a five-year restraining order in 2019 after getting into a spat with Michelle at the school gates where she called her a “f***ing c***”.

This meant the former glamour model was not allowed to contact Michelle either directly or indirectly.
