Lady C says Harry and Meghan could be booed if they return to UK for Jubilee

Lady Colin Campbell has said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be booed if they return to the UK for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.

The Jamaica-born socialite, 72, appeared on GB News on Wednesday (April 27) alongside host Dan Wootton and a number of other panellists.

During a discussion titled “Should Harry and Meghan return to UK for Queen’s Jubilee?” it was put to Lady C by Wootton that Prince Harry and Meghan “fear they may be booed at the event”, which is expected to be attended by thousands of British people.

In response, Lady C said: “Well, that would be one of the few evidences of realism they have shown in the recent past.

“With due respect, I think there is a very good chance they will be booed, and I also think that this is not only going to be a family affair.”

Lady C went on to argue that the event, which will take place in June, isn’t a “family matter” and is in fact a state occasion.

She also said she had “concerns” about the former royal couple attending the event for fears their presence may upstage the day itself.

The former I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star added: “This is actually a state occasion.

“Let us remember we are not celebrating granny’s 96th birthday for the Jubilee.

“We are celebrating the Queen’s accession to the throne. So it is not a family matter it is, rarely in fact, a state occasion.

“I have concerns about Harry and Meghan appearing not only because of the reception they get, not only because they manage to suck all oxygen out of a room and turn it to the Harry and Meghan dog and bone show.”

Lady C also recently claimed that Harry and Meghan’s US neighbours in Montecito “don’t want to touch them”.
