Lady Victoria Hervey slams Maura Higgins after awards row over 'inappropriate' dress

Lady Victoria Hervey has slammed Love Island star Maura Higgins’ after she bailed on the British Fashion Awards due to her “inappropriate” dress.

The reality babe, 32, claimed she had to bail on the event because Henshall, 47, brought her an inappropriate dress and abandoned her in her hotel room for three hours in favour of dressing Victoria.

Maura allegedly also became agitated by Mulberry’s former creative director when he failed to “arrange a selection of shoes for her to wear”.

But Victoria, 46, who was also dressed by the designer that night, has denied the claims, dubbing them “not true.”

She told the MailOnline: “What Maura is saying is not true at all. Scott didn’t ignore her.

“Maura had her own glam team in her room and what I heard is that she liked the dress but Scott’s PR, who was in charge of bringing her shoes, brought her ones she didn’t like.

“Scott was mad because he did not like the ones the PR chose. It’s absolutely not true to say that Scott left Maura for three hours.”

She went on to say that Scott is “a professional” and claimed “the weakness is unfortunately in his PR team,” before claiming that Maura wanted to get her own makeup and hair team in her room.

The reality star was preparing to mingle with the who’s-who of the style but “decided not to go” just minutes before she was due on the red carpet after not feeling comfortable in her custom-made gown.

The Irish TV babe shared an Instagram clip from her hotel room, wearing a full face of a makeup and the dress in question, which she said she had “zero control” over.

Maura said: “So guys, everyone is messaging me like, ‘Where are ya and where are the red carpet pictures?’ I’ve had a bit of a nightmare.

“So obviously you can see I am fully ready. Glam team are on point as usual. Basically…. the dress, the shoes, everything wasn’t something I’d wear.

“I don’t really know what to say, it’s like, I just feel it’s not very appropriate for the Fashion Awards.

“I obviously do like to go daring, you guys know that, but I just feel, I don’t know. It’s just not right. So yeah, I’ve decided not to go. I’m still in the hotel as you can see.”
