Liam Gallagher unrecognisable in dramatic hair transformation as he debuts blonde locks

Liam Gallagher appeared unrecognisable to his fans as he debuted a trendy new bleach blonde hairdo on Instagram.

The former Oasis frontman showed off his change of style with a close-up selfie posted to the social media app where he pulled a smiling face with his eyes closed.

Liam, 49, sported greying stubble opting for an unshaven look in the snap which he uploaded alongside the caption “ey blondie.”

Fans of the chart-topping singer-songwriter then commented on the photo drawing comparisons between him and other stars including tragic Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, former Charlatans singer Tim Burgess and Hollywood funnyman Owen Wilson.

Liam recently admitted that he believes in the power of positive thinking and that you should trust in God when it comes to important decisions in life.

Asked for his most important life lesson he said: “Don’t take yourself so seriously and have faith in him.”

Twice divorced Liam – who was married to Patsy Kensit and Nicole Appleton – also believes in the power of “positive” thought and how that can help you overcome bad times.

He said: “I’m a very positive thinker and I really believe that everything passes, so if you’re having a bad day, rest assured it won’t last long.”

Liam – who is now engaged to Debbie Gwyther – is enjoying one of the most successful spells in his career following the release of his third No1 solo album C’Mon You Know and his return to Knebworth for two mammoth sold-out shows.

Philosopher Liam has shared his thoughts on what success means to him.

In an apparent dig at brother Noel, 55, who he has accused of being a showbiz phoney, he said: “The definition of success to me is not turning into a nutcase and being surrounded by fools.

“I would like to be remembered for the way I sang and for staying true to my values. Certainly not because I got mixed up in showbiz.”
