Love Island twins banned from talking privately by producers to 'keep up the drama'

Love Island stars Jess and Eve Gale revealed producers didn’t allow them to speak to each other at certain times while on the ITV2 show.

At the start of 2020, the 23-year-old bombshells entered the infamous villa during its sixth season for its first ever winter series.

While Eve was dumped just six days into her Love Island journey, Jess made it to the final and finished in fourth place with partner Ched Uzor.

Chatting exclusively to Daily Star in a Facebook Live interview, the stunning duo revealed all about their time in the villa, including being separated by producers to stop them from talking.

Jess revealed: “Lunch and dinner is the one time you’re not on camera and sometimes they separate the boys and girls, but because it’s not on camera, you’re not meant to speak about anything to do with the show.”

The blonde beauty went on to admit that she found it “hard” because producers would force them to speak about something “really bland” instead.

“It’s quite hard because you’re sat there with your friends and somethings literally just happened and you want to talk about it, but if they hear you whispering they’re like ‘no, break up that chat,’ and you just have to talk about your favourite colour or something that is really bland.”

“It’s really hard, they would always be listening out for anything to do with the show or even if you’re just speaking about the challenge they’d be like nope,” she added.

“Something really dramatic would’ve literally just happened and they’d call you for lunch and you want to talk about it.”

Jess confessed that despite their efforts to speak, producers would insist they “save the chat.”

“We used to try and talk all the time,” Jess chimed before Eve added: “With me and Jess we speak so openly so they’d always be like ‘girls, save the chat’.”

Eve went onto admit that because producers were so strict about them talking, it meant they couldn’t resolve an argument

Eve went onto admit that because producers were so strict about them talking, it meant they couldn’t resolve an argument.

She said: “At one point I think we were trying to resolve a little argument or something but we couldn’t at that point, they were like save it for later but we were just trying to make up.”

Jess added: “We put our heads under the covers just so they couldn’t hear but they were like you can’t do that!”
