Mark Wright confirms reunion with wife Michelle Keegan as she snubs his one 'request'

Mark Wright has suggested he failed to convince his wife Michelle Keegan to run a marathon with him.

The ex TOWIE star, 35, has announced he’s running the London Marathon 2022, which takes place on October 2, for the fist time.

The gym-loving reality star was left gutted last year as he was forced to pull out of the marathon with a calf injury.

The 26-mile marathon is a gruelling feat which takes runners across London from Blackheath through to Charlton, past the Cutty Sark, over the River Thames and past the Shard.

The exhausting run requires buckets of motivation, so Mark was thrilled to reveal that Michelle will be there to cheer him on after jetting back from Australia.

However, it seems like the former Corrie actress won’t be jogging alongside him anytime soon despite his attempts to persuade her.

Mark spoke about his upcoming marathon on Friday’s edition (August 19) of Good Morning Britain, during a chat with hosts Ranvir Singh and Paul Brand.

Ranvir asked: “Will your wife, Michelle Keegan, be over?”

Mark replied: “My wife will hopefully be there supporting me, yeah.”

Ranvir asked him: “You couldn’t convince her to do the marathon with you?”

Wright laughed as he replied: “Nah, she wouldn’t do it, no. She’d just watch, cheer me on.”

On his training, he said: “It’s going well. It’s tough. Last year I tried to do it but I got injured during training because I tried to train too much too quickly, but this year I’m taking my time more. It is tough but I enjoy it.”

He revealed he wants to achieve a time of around three and a half hours after initially wanting to get below four hours.

Mark has partnered up with Flora’s Get Towns Active campaign, which aims to get people across the country engaged with physical activity.
