Masked Singer fans 'work out' Traffic Cone's identity as Rob Beckett finds out celeb

The Masked Singer viewers think they have worked out who Traffic Cone is after Rob Beckett was forced to deny he was the character after being told off by the real celebrity.

Rob took to social media to clarify to his fans after joking that he had accidentally revealed himself as Traffic Cone in an earlier tweet.

He posted: “Right so I have a confession. I’m not Traffic Cone. It’s a wind up.

“However it’s got so out of hand the actual Traffic Cone has angrily messaged me telling me to stop saying I’m traffic cone.

“So for the record, I’m not Traffic Cone. But I now know who is.”

Fans quickly took to the post to share their suspicions, with many saying they thought Rob’s post was a clever double bluff to cover up his mistake.

One wrote: “That’s what Traffic Cone would say…”

Another agreed: “Sounds like a diversion tactic, exactly what a traffic cone is known for.”

A third chipped in: “Ah, the old double-bluff. Nudge nudge, wink wink eh Rob. I getcha!”

Rob had taken to his social media page earlier in the day after previously posting a tweet that was supposedly meant for his social media team, writing: “ust send this out once I’ve been unmasked.

“Thanks for all the support being the Traffic Cone I absolutely loved it. Great show. The kids couldn’t believe it was me.

Rob then wrote: “Look itv are p***ed off with me. The tweet was an accident.

“I’ve been quiet the last few days. They still won’t pay me so I don’t care anymore. I’m traffic cone. Don’t give a s*** if it’s a spoiler.”

However, Gavin and Stacey actor Rob Brydon is also another frontrunner to be exposed as the ITV character after he was grilled about the theory on The Jonathan Ross Show.

Rob admitted he had been invited onto the show, saying: “Every Saturday night people think I’m a traffic cone. I haven’t seen this run of it but I assume there is a traffic cone, and obviously I can’t say can I, because it would spoil something. But yes, I have been asked, yes.”
