Meghan Markle's friends asked her 'is he worth this?' over Prince Harry romance

She spoke about calling the police over stalking claims after paparazzi “broke into trailers” while she was filming for Suits and receiving death threats from trolls.

Meghan’s security discussed how they needed to find various ways to get her into the studio and hired a driver who was skilled in “evasive driving”.

The driver would take different routes to the studio to “get away from the paparazzi chasing them”, as they had to “go round alleys” and “open garage doors” to sneak in.

Meghan’s former personal assistant, Chantelle Humphrey, said it was “scary”, adding: “There were people constantly at her door or trying to get into her house or trying to get around so they can find her.”

Speaking on the documentary, Meghan said: “My friends and people in my life who love me and care about me are like, ‘Is he worth this? We know that you’re happy and we know that you love him. Is he worth this? Look at what’s happening to your life’.”

She added: “We just did everything we could to be there for each other. We had to stay connected. We wouldn’t have survived it if we weren’t.”

Harry added: “I don’t know how we did it, but we did it.”

The pair would continue to work on their schedules to make sure they were able to see one another as Meghan said she would “try to get to Harry discreetly” and fly back to the US to get to set.

Harry recalled: “Dating became the combination of car chases, anti-surveillance driving and disguises,” which he said wasn’t a “healthy” way to start their relationship.

Harry and Meghan left the UK and stepped back as senior members of the royal family after the online trolling aimed at Meghan.

They have since moved to the US and have been focusing on projects overseas, which has included their highly anticipated Netflix documentary.

Three more episodes are expected to drop next week on the streaming platform.
