Neil Morrissey slams 'revolting' Apprentice cast over way they talk to each other

Neil Morrissey has said the way some of The Apprentice candidates talk to each other is “revolting”.

The Men Behaving Badly star shared his views during a chat on The One Show after watching a clip of two of this year’s crop of hopefuls bickering about making a drink.

Lord Alan Sugar had tasked the wannabes with making a non-alcoholic beverage, which sparked a debate about how much salt to put in.

Alex Short and Harpreet Kaur were at odds because Alex wanted to try two ways of making the drink to see which one turned out better, but dessert parlour owner Harpreet said no.

“We’re not making another drink, we’re just going with this,” she said.

Neil called the candidates out on the way they spoke to each other

“Get another one going now!” Alex shot back.

Neil, 59, watched the heated exchange during his appearance on The One Show and looked horrified by how the candidates had been acting.

When the hosts commented on his reaction, he replied: “I can’t believe the way they talk to each other.

“It’s just revolting.”

Several viewers tweeted to say they were pleased to hear Neil call out the contestants on their behaviour.

“Well said @Neil_Morrissey – it’s disgusting the way the Apprentice contestants talk to each other so rudely all the time,” posted one person.

Another wrote: “Thank you @Neil_Morrissey on @BBCTheOneShow for gently pointing out manners might matter! You’re so right, how we talk to each other as human beings matters!”

The star was on the programme to chat about the new series of his show The Good Karma Hospital.

However, some fans were a bit distracted by his voice.

Many felt that Neil, who was born in Stafford, sounded different than usual.

One questioned the actor’s use of the word “supper”, saying they doubted that was something he used to have.

“Why is Neil Morrissey so posh?” asked another.

One posted: “It’s like he’s totally forgotten he’s from the Midlands.”
