Nick Jonas and his wife Priyanka Chopra have become parents for the first time.
The new mother announced the news on Instagram on Friday night, revealing: “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate.
“We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family.”
The couple are thought to have become proud parents to a baby girl according to US news outlet TMZ.

Nick and Priyanka were seen walking hand in hand in San Diego at Del Mar Dog Beach last Friday, one day prior to the baby’s reported birth at a Southern Californian hospital.
The couple – who tied the knot in 2018 after a year of dating – recently shut down rumours that they were splitting up when Nick, 29, posted a cosy photo as he celebrated Thanksgiving with his 39-year-old wife.
The Jonas Brothers singer captioned the post: “Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Grateful for you.”

Fans rushed to congratulate the pair on their new arrival as they gushed over the post.
One wrote: “Best News Ever !! Congratulations to you both.”
Another added: “Oh my goodness Nick I can’t even begin of how happy I am for you guys congratulations can’t wait to see the baby grow up.”
A third posted: “Congratulations you two… waiting for Baby Jonas.”

Celebrity friends of the couple also began sending their messages of excitement to them with One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder writing: “Omg HUGE CONGRAAAAAATS WOW WOW WOW.”
The announcement comes just one week after Quantico star Priyanka discussed her plans for a child filled family in the future with Vanity Fair magazine.
She said: “They’re a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens.”
