Ola and James Jordan's weight gain post prompts barrage of commercial offers

Ola and James Jordan have been bombarded with commercial fitness opportunities since revealing they had put on weight.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professionals have talked openly about their weight gain following their departures from the popular BBC series.

Ola, 39, who quit the show in 2015, told fans she feels “disappointed” with her figure and attributes her weight gain to having a baby and dancing less.

Meanwhile James, 44, revealed that he had gained three stone since leaving Strictly in 2013.

The couple, whose daughter Ella was born in 2020, say their weight gains have also impacted their sex life.

Their comments have caused some fans to speculate that they are planning a future workout video, with one writing: “I’d bet my house that there’s a Christmas ‘fitness video’ from these two.”

Another remarked: “Cue couples fitness video to shed the fat and earn them thousands.”

A third person commented: “I can feel an exercise and diet app coming just ready for January,” while a fourth questioned: “Does this mean a fitness DVD is on the way?”

The pair’s representative told the Daily Mirror that they have received fitness opportunities, but added that the couple had not signed up to any commercial deals.

Their spokesperson said: “We have actually been approached by various people wanting to work with James and Ola to help them lose the weight since she posted her bikini photo on Instagram.

“But they want to confirm that they have not signed any commercial deals to lose weight and feel very strongly that if they decide to get in shape at some time in the future, as ex-professional dancers, they have the knowledge and experience to do it their own way.

“They have been so delighted with the support of their followers and will of course keep them updated via Instagram.”
