Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen 'snubs' Jeremy Clarkson's Farm despite him praising her

Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen snubbed Jeremy Clarkson’s Amazon Prime farming show despite him praising her.

The 47-year-old opened up about her busy life and admitted she doesn’t have time to “watch any TV”.

The shepherdess who stars on the Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm appears alongside her large family, nine children and her husband Clive.

Speaking to The Garden, Amanda opened up about her busy life from writing her bestselling books to raising nine children.

She also revealed she is interested in hearing from other farmers to learn some more about the industry, reports YorkshireLive.

However, she did make a “snub” towards former Top Gear host Clarkson as she discussed rival farming programmes.

Amanda said: “I haven’t seen a single one of those. Not for any reason – it’s just because I don’t watch TV.

“But it must have been alright, because farmers liked it.”

Despite Amanda admitting to not watching Clarkson’s Farm, Jeremy has praised the mother-of-nine in the past.

The show, which follows the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host for a year as he works on his farm Diddly Squat, reportedly took him two years to film before the series launched in June.

Jeremy has needed Amanda’s shepherdess knowledge in the past with his “errant flock” of sheep, who broke through a neighbour’s electric fence.

Amanda’s show launched in 2018 and is set for a huge change, as it is set to launch globally to 25 countries including Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

However, due to it being aired around the world, the show has been renamed to My Big Family Farm.

Amanda and husband Clive first got a taste of the spotlight when they appeared on the Adrian Edmondson ITV show The Dales, which aired in 2011.

The family later appeared in a 2015 episode of New Lives in the Wild UK, also on Channel 5, which led to their own show.
