Parents watching Cbeebies joke it was almost 'cancelled' due to awkward drawing

Dirty-minded adults watching Cbeebies were shocked when they thought an innocent drawing of a dog’s bone was going to be something much ruder.

In a video shared on Reddit, one user joked the BBC’s children’s channel ought to be “cancelled” over the X-rated moment.

The presenter has a whiteboard he is drawing a shape on and some viewers drew the wrong conclusion – thinking he was about to draw a penis rather than a cartoon bone.

Of course, the fears were completely unfounded but resulted in a few giggles among sleepy parents at 6.51 am.

It was uploaded on Wednesday (March 2) by user MediumLettuce48 with the caption: “CBeebies nearly getting cancelled this morning!”

The clip has been up-voted more than 7,500 times and people debated if the drawing really did look X-rated or if an overactive imagination was to blame.

One user said: “I spose there’s some entertainment for the adults as well!”

A second quipped: “Is it just me or does he pause juuuust for a second at that crucial moment?”

“Hahah! I just watched this and p***** my pants,” said a third.

The picture was a cartoon bone

Someone else argued: “Obviously it will be a bone. Kids that age know what a dog bone is. Kids that age don’t have b**** though.”

Another user commented: “Cbeebies sometimes post outtakes on Facebook but I sadly doubt we’ll get to see the 10 previous attempts at doing this with a straight face.”

“Saw this as it was on this morning and it was all me and my wife could do to keep a straight face in front of the kids,” added a parent.

This comes after BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty revealed why she’d never star on CBeebies show Bedtime Stories – but said a co-star would be perfect for the job.

And Staffordshire theme park Alton Towers is revamping CBeebies Land to be bigger with extra attractions to visit from spring this year.
