Piers Morgan brands 'deluded' Dan Walker 'most boring interviewer' as he reignites feud

Piers Morgan has reignited his bitter war of words with Dan Walker – branding the former BBC Breakfast presenter the ‘most boring interviewer’.

The 57-year-old, who now hosts his own show on Talk TV, took time on Wednesday to once again have a bit of a rant on Twitter by “winding everyone up” about the current rail strikes.

RMT union boss Mick Lynch has been all over the news in recent days, with even Hugh Laurie praising how the worker had dealt with various media interviews with the likes of Kay Burley and Richard Madeley.

It was yesterday when Dan, 45, reposted his own video of a discussion he had with Mick – and appeared to throw a sly dig at rival Piers in the process.

The pair have been throwing social media jabs at each other for a long time

Alongside the video, the Channel 5 presenter wrote: “We live in the age of the jabby, confrontational interview & the RMTs, Mick Lynch, has had a few of them.

That comment led to a reaction from Piers, who quote tweeted the post and wrote: “Is there anyone more deluded in world television than Desperate Dan.. the world’s most boring interviewer.”

Not one to back down, Dan almost immediately responded with laughing emoji faces and said: “Why is it ‘boring’ to let someone actually speak rather than shouting over them all the time?”

And Piers continued in his efforts to goad his rival, replying: “Mate, I had to leave GMB for being too exciting/dangerous.

“You had to leave the BBC because even by their standards you’re a mood-hoovering dullard. But your pompous lectures on how to do interviews are bloody funny, I’ll give you that.”

Dan wasn’t finished yet though, who replied with a brutal take-down of the ex-Britain’s Got Talent judge.

Alongside a gif of Piers storming off the Good Morning Britain set, he shot back: “You left GMB because one of your colleagues called you out.

Your ‘exciting/dangerous’ response to that was [fingers pointing down to Piers walking off set]. Next time I promise to spend at least 5 minutes on Thunderbirds.”

That last line was a reference to Morgan’s interview with Mick Lynch, where he (bizarrely) asked whether Lynch’s Facebook profile picture – which is him dressed as The Hood – made him Marxist.
