Prince Harry called 'laughing stock' by Karren Brady after 'out of touch' Invictus move

Alan Sugar’s aide Karren Brady has called out Prince Harry in a recent column for The Sun.

The Apprentice star took the opportunity to slam the former royal as she scathingly accused him of “setting himself up as a moral crusader” after he “left this country” for America.

In an unusual comment, Karren compared Harry to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy as she hit out at Harry over the promotion of his international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women,

Karren wrote: “Harry is now a laughing stock. Meanwhile, in La La Land, Harry has been wearing orange from head to foot. His impression of the man from the Tango advert was for a video to celebrate the lead up to the fifth annual Invictus Games.”

The games will be held in the Netherlands, taking place from 16 – 22 April, and orange is their national colour.

Karren spoke out about Harry’s video

The Invictus games were set up by the Duke of Sussex in an attempt to “use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support, rehabilitation and to generate a wider understanding and respect” toward serving and veteran personnel.

Harry posted a video on Twitter to show his interest in Dutch culture, which showed him taking language lessons from athletes as he wore a completely orange ensemble to show his support.

Her column for The Sun had a mixed reception

Brady called his actions “crass” because the world is fearing for the people in Ukraine.

She went on: “From a man who decided that his new job was to be a moral guardian, playing fancy dress right now makes him seem completely out of touch.”

Throughout the column she labelled him a “laughing stock,” said that he “only has himself to blame” and the reason he “became a joke” is because of the “choices he made”.

She tweeted out a link to the article and came under fire as many Twitter users were upset at her words.

One wrote: “Of all the things to talk about in the world right now, this is the most important to you? Shame a national newspaper chose to publish this garbage. You can do better Karen.”
