Queen fans have been left mortified after realising the true meaning behind the lyrics of one of the band’s most iconic songs.
As millions of fans still enjoy the band’s famous song, Don’t Stop Me Now, it appears many fans are just realizing that the song is in fact about sex, with come calling the lyrics “questionable.”
The track – written by Freddie Mercury, front man of the British rock band, with Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon making up the rest of the group – was first released as part of the band’s 1978 album Jazz.
Lyrics include lines such as, “floating around in ecstasy”, “I am a satellite I’m out of control”, and “I am a sex machine ready to reload like an atom bomb”.
One fan said: “Its so weird knowing don’t stop me now is a song about sex and i hadn’t realised for so long until actually focusing on the lyrics. i guess im just used to songs now being very obvious about it.”
“You know what? I’m adding another #earbiscuits tweet. Queen also has questionable lyrics in their songs, like ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ and ‘Killer Queen’,” another commented.
A third wrote: “How tf did Nintendo get away with adding Don’t Stop me Now to Donkey Konga with the lyrics ‘I’m a sex machine’ and ‘On ecstacy’.”

Freddie Mercury is known for his legendary rock songs which transformed the music industry, with the band releasing the first ever music video for their hit song Bohemian Rhapsody.
And it’s fair to say the Freddie Mercury certainly left his mark on the world with many of Queen’s iconic songs still played all over the globe.
The musician was just 45 when he died of an AIDs-related illness on November 24, 1991 and his devastating passing had a huge effect on the music industry as well as leaving millions of Queen fans heartbroken.

The star was first diagnosed with HIV back in 1987 but decided to keep his diagnosis a secret from his adoring fans as Brian May recalled Freddie saying: “I don’t want to take any action apart from carrying on the way we are.
“I want to carry on making music for as long as I f**king can,” he added, which led the band to releasing two more albums before his death.
