Ruth Langsford 'wasn't happy' with Eamonn after restarting feud with Phillip Schofield

Ruth Langsford “wasn’t happy” with her husband Eamonn Holmes after he reigned their feud with Philip Schofield.

In a recent interview, Eamonn, 62, claimed Phillip, 59, was “renowned for snubbing people.”

A source close to Eamonn and Ruth told OK! that after Eamonn made the Philip comment Ruth, 61, was not impressed.

They revealed that Ruth hoped to put the behind-the-scenes drama from her time at ITV’s This Morning “behind her”.

It comes as Ruth continues her career at ITV despite being axed from This Morning as she appears as a panelist on Loose Women.

The source said: “There’s no way back for Eamonn at ITV so he feels like he didn’t have anything to lose by speaking out.”

They added: “But Ruth wasn’t happy that he did. She just wants to put it behind her. She’s still at ITV so it’s awkward for her.

“But Eamonn was annoyed by the situation. He didn’t like how Phillip treated Ruth and felt like he wanted to speak out.”

The Daily Star has approached Eamonn and Ruth’s representatives for comment.

Last year, This Morning announced that Eamonn and Ruth would leave after 15 years and be replaced with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

Eamonn recently made a subtle dig at Philip on social media.

It came after a special edition of Lorraine honoured Phillip, 59, on Monday morning for his decades long career in showbiz.

After Lorraine’s interview, Eamonn hinted that he was left unimpressed by ‘liking’ a series of questionable tweets.

One of them read: “This #Lorraine show is bizarre.. why not celebrate 40 years on #thismorning instead of another show?”

Eamonn has previously branded Philip as being “passive-aggressive”.

He told the Daily Mail’s Weekend Magazine: “Phillip is renowned for snubbing people. He’s very passive-aggressive.

“It’s up to Ruth to say how she felt but I was feeling hurt for her. No one would have snubbed me like that.”

Last April, Ruth called out Phillip for being a “cynic” after he interrupted her live on air.

After 15 years of hosting various ITV shows, Eamonn’s exit from the channel was announced last November and he has since joined GB News.
