Rylan teases return to music with 'someone else' 10 years after finding fame on X Factor

BBC Radio 2 DJ and presenter Rylan Clark-Neal has confirmed that he won’t be returning to music but will, in fact, support ‘someone else’ in the industry with their comeback track ten years after his X Factor gig.

Rylan first found fame on X Factor over a decade ago; after finishing in fifth place on the ITV competition, he has since become a national treasure who has had a very successful career in the industry.

The 37-year-old who has hosted ITV’s This Morning, currently has his own DJ segment on BBC Radio 2 and has appeared on a number of the nation’s biggest TV shows, including Strictly Come Dancing and Big Brother.

In an interview with The Mirror, Rylan teased that he’ll be returning to the music industry – but in a very different way.

He said: “All I’ll say to that is ‘Rylan won’t return to music…but someone else might’ – that’s all I’ll say,”

Tight-lipped, Rylan added: “That’s all I’m going to say.”

The announcement left fans wondering whether Rylan was hinting that he will appear in The Masked Singer, which is currently airing and sees a number of celebrities secretly perform on stage in wacky outfits as a panel of celebrity judges try and guess who’s hiding behind the mask.

However, the This Morning presenter said “No”, followed by “There is a project that I’m working on that’s mine.”

“I’ve been working on it for about two years. It is mine, it is not one else’s – it is fully mine.”

“It’s what could have been,” he mysteriously concluded with.

An ominous Rylan continued without letting too much slip and with his cards close to his chest.
