“It was as if I’d murdered someone. Every time something happened it was my fault, every time something new broke, it was my fault.”

Kate probed: “There was a story that came up for example about Peter Andre during the trial – that was an example of a story that you had given to the press…”

Rebekah then responded: “I didn’t leak that. That was a story that I put my name to and it was something that I deeply regret and I’m deeply ashamed of. “

She then admitted feeling it was “deeply wrong” that Peter was even mentioned.

She continued: “But it was so long ago. Life for me was so different then and I tried to explain the situation in which that came up and you know I just think that was wrong for him to have (been) brought into that situation.

“He had nothing to do with it. That had nothing to do with what I was accused of.”

“And since the court case, I think I’m probably suffering with PTSD — I feel physically sick when I talk about the trial and what happened, and I have nightmares.”
