Shark Tank entrepreneur Andy Thomas has sadly died after losing his battle with cancer.

The programme honoured the Kettle Gryp co-founder, 47, with an emotional tribute to the star who had won over Lori Greiner with his pitch.

On Twitter the Shark offered up her deepest sympathies, as she branded Andrew “”A True American hero.”

She wrote: “In Memory of Andrew Thomas Loving husband and father, fearless Marine, dearest of friends. Kettle Gryp Co-Founder.

“Here’s to you, Andrew! A true American hero, beloved husband, father & friend to so many. Your hard work and dedication to @KettleGryp and your partner Daniel will live on.

“Happy to be partners and to help fulfil your legacy with Kettle Gryp.”

The businessman who had previously won over Lori with his drive and determination had once served as a helicopter pilot for the United States Marine Corps.

The tragic news was also confirmed on Facebook earlier this week by Andrew’s wife Carolyn Walz.

She penned: “If you’re so inclined, tune into Shark Tank at 8 pm on ABC this Friday. My husband, Andy, and his business partner, Dan, will appear as they try to convince the sharks to invest in the Kettle Gryp.

“They filmed a couple weeks before Andy fell ill. With a broken heart I’ll be cheering him on and will always carry so much pride for the incredible man he was and the beautiful life he lived.”

On Friday’s episode of Shark Tank, Andrew along with his business partner Dan Sheppard managed to secure a $30,000 deal with Lori.

They’d brought a clever idea portable workout device to the Sharks that seemed to be a hit and would have been snapped up by gym goers.

Having delivered his pitch with such enthusiasm, it was no surprise that the Shark’s were keen to work with him.

At the end of the Dragon’s Den-inspired programme, a heartfelt tribute to Andrew flashed up on screen.
