Strictly's Giovanni Pernice and Rose share exciting tour news in sweet backstage video

Strictly Come Dancing winners Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice have given a sneak peek behind-the-scenes of the upcoming tour.

The pair were crowned champions of the BBC dancing show in December and are currently rehearsing for the live arena shows, which kicks off later this month.

Hiding behind Giovanni in the clip shared on his Instagram account, Rose said: “Hi, um you’re not allowed to see my costume that’s why i’m right behind him.”

The Eastenders actress continued: “So basically we’re doing like a dress run thing.”

Dancer Giovanni injected: “It’s not the dress rung thing. It’s a dress run.”

Rose added: “It’s going well.”

Giovanni then panned over his camera over to returning judge Bruno Tonioli, who was absent from the 2021 series due to Covid travel restrictions.

An excited Rose said: “Bruno” as he appeared in the distance.

Giovanni added: “He’s back. Um yeah so dress run is going very well.”

He turned to Rose and said: “It’s nice to dance with you again.”

Rose replied: “Yeah, it’s lovely to dance again and bring happy memories.”

After both smiling for the camera, Giovanni told Rose: Now go and practice.”

Bruno was spotted arriving at the rehearsal session in Birmingham on Wednesday after it was announced he would serve as a judge during the tour dates alongside Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood.

The live show marks Bruno’s comeback to Strictly after he missed the 2021 series and appeared virtually during the 2020 season.

He was replaced by Anton Du Beke on the latest series while he remained stateside to continue with Dancing With The Stars.

Of his return to the show, Bruno told MailOnline: “I am absolutely delighted to be back on the judging panel for the Strictly Arena Tour for the first time in two years.

“I’ve missed my fellow judges, I’ve missed the glitz and glamour of the tour and I’ve missed the amazing audiences that come to see us all over the country – I hope you have missed me too?
