Strictly's Giovanni Pernice told he 'looks lost' without Rose after heartfelt post

Giovanni Pernice was told he “looks lost” without his previous Strictly Come Dancing partner Rose Ayling-Ellis, after he shared a snap with a heartfelt message on Instagram.

The professional dancer became the latest contestant to be booted off the BBC show alongside radio presenter Richie Anderson.

The pair failed to impress the judges and viewers when they landed in the bottom two facing Fleur East and Vito Coppola in the dreaded dance-off.

But after the dancer took to his Instagram looking dapper while sharing the quote “the greatest thing you’ll ever learn it just to love and be loved in return,” fans took the opportunity to mention Giovanni’s abrupt exit.

One social media user commented: “Giovanni you looked lost on Strictly it’s not the same since you and Rose danced. It was amazing the way you two were together. Everyone loved how you two made it special every week. Love the suit.”

Another penned: “We all still love you Gio. Will miss you on Saturdays but kind of relieved you got out early. Miss you and Rose together. Not the same this season.”

Meanwhile a third wrote: “Will miss you every week but you will shine whatever you do. Not watching Strictly now this season. It hasn’t got the magic of last year that you and Rose brought to the show.”

Following Giovanni and Richie’s exit, fans have been left concerned about whether Giovanni will decide to leave the show for good.

After an “awkward” interview on Strictly’s spin-off show It Takes Two, fans also claimed they noticed tension between Giovanni and Richie.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “This is absolutely the most awkward It Takes Two interview ever.”

Another added: “The tension is off the scale. Awkward between Richie and Gio.”

And a third person also wrote: “Catching up on It Takes Two and I’m very disappointed in Gio’s reaction tonight.

“He won last year an epic competition, no one can deny, but this year he had a complete non-dancer, someone who was hilarious and who for me stole the show and for whom this experience was amazing,” the social media user wrote.

They continued: “So why did Gio seem just a teeny bit disinterested? This is what Strictly is and it is the pro’s job to do everything they can do to teach the celeb, very often with zero knowledge of dancing.

“Maybe I am reading more into this than I should, but I am disappointed and if, as is rumoured, Gio leaves, then I’ll be sad,” they concluded.

Last year Gio and Rose found victory and won Strictly Come Dancing. Rose also became the show’s first death contestant in 2021.
