Strictly's Jayde Adams confuses fans as she 'dresses as Daily Star's lettuce'

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left distracted during It Takes Two after Jayde Adams wore a bright green dress that resembled the lettuce that outlasted UK’s former Prime Minister, Liz Truss.

The comedian appeared on the spin-off show alongside her professional dance partner Karen Hauer as they discussed their elimination from the BBC competition.

As she reflected on her time in the show with presenter Rylan Clark, Jayde became emotional about her departure.

But although she ended the interview on a lighter note, viewers at home couldn’t help but mention the comedian’s lime green frock.

Taking to Twitter, fans shared their thoughts on the dress.

One person wrote: “Jayde Adams dressed as ‘The Lettuce’ on Strictly It Takes Two is broadcasting dreams this Monday. I really hope this is intentional because it’s fire: and she’s rocking it.”

Another said: “Love Jayde and Karen as a pair, but they’ve come dressed for two very different parties tonight! #ItTakesTwo.”

After seeing the comments about her dress on Twitter, Jayde chimed in on the joke herself and wrote “it was intentional” followed by a lettuce emoji.

The news comes after Jayde was bought to tears when she discovered she would be leaving Strictly on Sunday night.

Jayde and Karen’s Charleston to The Ballad of Barry & Freda Let’s Do It by Victoria Wood landed them in the bottom two alongside Molly Rainford and her dance partner Carlos Gu.

When asked by Tess Daly about her experience on the show, Jayde said: “This has been the best thing I have ever done in my life and I will carry it to my grave, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with you [Karen] and learning about so much that will go into my own stuff, in my own work.

“You are one of the most gifted people I have ever worked with Karen.”

But fans were not pleased with Jayde’s exit and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: “Fuming. That dance off was all wrong. Neither shouldve been there and Jayde should NOT be out already, wth #strictly.”

Meanwhile another annoyed fan penned: “Jayde brought so much joy & love to the show. There were at least 4 other dancers who should have left first.”
