Take That star Mark Owen looks unrecognisable as he reunites with bandmates

Take That’s Mark Owen looked utterly unrecognisable as he hit the red carpet in Cannes.

The singer was with his bandmates Gary Barlow and Howard Donald at the festival, which is also being attended by the likes of Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise.

But Mark looked completely different to usual, with his long hair billowing in the breeze and a huge pair of white shades on his face.

The 50-year-old was dapper in white trousers that were fitting for a stroll along the Croisette, and a patterned pink shirt.

He pulled out all the stops by teaming it with a chic pale blue blazer.

Snaps showed him posing alongside his bandmates, with the trio grinning as they soaked up the atmosphere.

Fans were thrilled to see Take That there to promote a film that was inspired by their rise to fame.

But a couple of people couldn’t help pointing out that Mark looked a bit different.

“EXCUSE ME MARK OWEN??????????????” one tweeted.

However, his new look didn’t put fans off, with one calling him “gorgeous” and another tweeting: “Quite liking Mark Owen’s shirt.”

Mark already surprised fans when he started sporting his moustache during the coronavirus pandemic.

The singer showed off his new facial hair at a gig and fans flocked to social media to share their thoughts.

One joked that the new ‘tache made Mark looked a bit like “a 70s porn star”.

Another jokingly asked why he was looking like an extra from Tiger King, and someone else teased that it looked “dubious”.

The film Greatest Days was inspired by the band’s success and apparently follows five best friends. It’s thought it will feature music from Take That.

Meanwhile, Tom is in Cannes to promote his eagerly anticipated Top Gun follow up, Top Gun: Maverick, which will be screening at the French film festival.

The film about an ace pilot is being released 36 years after the 1986 original and is expected to be a massive hit.
